He's A Growing Boy

Superbowl weekend has come and gone! Wow, February already! I haven't been on here in soooo long. To be perfectly honest i think I completely forgot our little blog. But I stumbled upon it yesterday and it was amazing to look back at the posts and my little man. He was so tiny. Oh how I miss those days of holding him in my arms (without him squirming around and trying to get out). I miss carrying him around in the moby or ergo and just having him so close to me ALL the time. Now I have a full blown toddler boy. It's all about jumping rocks, riding his bike, using his little quad in the dirt, swords and guns. I have so much fun with him and he forces me to find the tomboy in me, well I try anyway :)
At 3.5 years old, preschool is in full effect and he making new friends. Valentine's is coming up and so lovely crafts are in the works around here. Birthday planning is also right around the corner. We are working on our home and doing all the things to it we have wanted to for so long. It's awesome having the help :) Laundry room and big boy room are next on the list. So wish us luck I'm thinking that 2012 is going to be a good year. I look forward to all the days ahead with the little guy who holds my heart.

Rainy Days

Hello Family and Friends! Just a quick little post to say that we are in fact still here. In the midst of these storms the sun broke out the other day and it was a perfect opportunity to take Nathan to the little toddler park right in our subdivision. It was a great time and a bittersweet moment. When we purchased our home, we were pregnant as you all know, and when we saw the park we thought it would be perfect for our son one day when he was big enough to play in it.

I took Nathan by it numerous times only to discover that he was still to young to enjoy the playset and we would take a look and then head home. However, this time it was different...

Nathan stood before it open mouthed and gasping! He was so excited to set his eyes upon the small littel set. It brought the biggest smile to my face. And although there was water on it he just couldn't wait to set his little feet upon it. He climbed, jumped, slid, slipped, and crawled all over. In the picture above he is blowing the water away so he and I can play... love my little man.

18 Months!

Today Nathan is 18 months old! I can't believe it. It was a big day for us for a couple of reasons, but most importantly he is a year and a half. I'm sure I'm a little biased but he is just the smartest, cutest, funniest and most loving little boy ever.
Nathan loves watching Shrek, thinks it's hilarious if you trip, fall or bump into something, likes to pretend punch and make the punching noises to go with it! He also loves to play with his dog Joey whom he affectionatley calls "JoJo."
He can say his numbers 1,2,3,4,5 and 6! He is talking more each day and the words just keep on coming. He is my greatest blessing and I am so thankful he's my little man.

Play & Relax

Today the weather was freezing cold and rainy. It was a perfect day to stay inside curled up with blankies and hot cocoa or coffees little coffee baileys. So after a few hours at work that's exactly what Nathan and I did.

Of course playtime is essential so we played with cars, trains and planes! It was a great night at Home.

Christmas at HOME...

Nathan has been mommy's little helper... Decorating the trees, making his own ornaments, approving the lights (big deal for him) and making this season so much fun!

Shhh... I even gave in and yes, there is an 8 foot inflatable Christmas Thomas the train in our yard!

17 Months!

Today Nathan is 17 months old! I can not believe it. He has grown and changed so much. He is growing into an amazing, funny, silly, daring and LOVING little boy.

As of today he:

Says mama, dada, grandpa, no, yeah, thank you, please or pease, JOJO (his dog Joey), dog, more, bite, happy, and day and the words just keep on coming!

He loves chocolate milk and will sneak a bite of chocolate chip cookies whenever he can.

He spends time with his little buddies Aiden, Hunter and Cameron (all four boys are 1YEAR OLD!) and let's not forget Mia and Lily!

He is much loved and adored by all who know him. I am so blessed and humbled by him each day. I am thankful the Lord made us strong, grateful and gave us each other.

Friends...

One of the things in life that I think is most important that I hope to pass on to my son is that true friends are hard to find, it's work to have them, work to be one... But it's so worth it.
I love that Nathan is growing up with boys his very own age. Cameron, Hunter, & Aiden we love you boys!
